Silikons iekļūst materiālā un nostiprinās uz virsmas, veidojot aizsargbarjeru pret UV stariem un ārējiem faktoriem. Lai nodrošinātu ilgāku kalpošanas laiku, ieteicams regulāri apstrādāt lateksu ar šķidro silikonu.
